Has the digital revolution transformed Dada into data? What features of Dada have become important elements in digital art and net culture? To answer these questions we must first take a brief look at the art movement known as Dada, and then examine several of its key features - simultaneous poetry, manifestos, abstract painting, collage/photomontage, chance, cabaret, audience, collaboration - and how they relate to new media.

it is always nice to meet folkz outside blogger land in the land of 4 dimensions. Friday night I was at a reading of Magdelena Zurawski
andMary Burger at stephanie young's
home and ran into Chris Sullivan of 8letters.blogspot who mentioned Chris's blog... and it is well worth a visit... it is a wonderful combination of visual experience and language...

This is my work as a language photographer, expressing my mournful outrage at the hegemony of all us blasted flesh covered femurs of human experience. . .

this is the beginning

it ended again

- outside - the outside of the
indifferent operations
& details

limited in option
eye of needle - scope of coin drop -
outside the border lands

outside the escape hatch
created a beginning
that never existed

call it a flow chart

from here to
simmering

indestructible
2-quick

gone next

incontinent

jump cut

this is the beginning that never existed

this is it - it ended again

found again - ended again

now with Purpose and Intention

following the yellow dotted red lights

the sirens are every where

this is the beginning - that will never end
this is the door
that never existed
