(CNSNews.com) -Two New Jersey residents filed a lawsuit Monday in state court against the City of Asbury Park's challenging the city's actions in issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples in violation of state law.

Myers declares gay marriages violate Oregon law

(U-WIRE) EUGENE, Ore. -- Oregon Attorney General Hardy Myers released an advisory statement Friday concluding that current state law prohibits counties from issuing same-sex marriage licenses. However, Myers' statement, which was prepared in response to Multnomah County's recent decision to award same-sex marriage licenses, also concedes those existing state statutes may be unconstitutional.
