Make Global Warming an Issue

 The contempt of the Bush administration for environmentalists and their concerns is well known by now. While evidence of man- made environmental damage mounts, the Bush team resists its implications like a defeated army whose rear guard fights off its pursuers as it retreats. That has been especially true of its handling of the most serious of all environmental issues - global warming.

Wisconsin Marriage Ban Passes First Round of Votes
Wisconsin's Senate voted to approve a state constitutional amendment that bans same-sex marriages in the state by a vote of 20-13. The Senate joins the Assembly, which passed the amendment by a vote of 68-27 earlier this month.

The amendment goes beyond that of most states, also banning civil unions similar to those in Vermont and domestic partnerships similar to those in California.

Rehberg explains opposition to gay marriage

HELENA - Rep. Denny Rehberg, R-Mont., said Monday he favors a constitutional ban on gay marriage because he does not believe same-sex couples should reap federal benefits from such unions.

Galvin warns groups on lobby law
