Kentucky Legislators Defeat Proposal for Gay Marriage Ban
A House committee in Frankfort has defeated a proposed constitutional amendment that would ban same-sex marriages. The measure was supported by six members of the House Elections and Constitutional Amendments Committee at a hastily convened meeting. That was one vote short of the support needed to advance the bill.
