Gay ceremonies exhaust officials

SAN Francisco city officials would keep handing marriage licences to gay couples, the city's mayor said today. Nearly 3300 same-sex marriages had been held at San Francisco City Hall since February 12, but gay couples would have to make appointments to marry from now on, Mayor Gavin Newsom told CNN's Late Edition.
