Mrs Slocombe's Pussy is too much for USA
Gay.com UK

Camp TV creation from the 70s - 'Are You Being Served' - which gave rise to the phrase 'I am free' from 'gay' character Mr Humphries - faces the axe in the States as US TV bosses have deemed Mrs Slocombe too shocking for Americans.

According to The Sun, the British sitcom could be axed across the Pond if the double entendre jokes can not be toned down.

Lines such as Mrs Slocombe's: "It's a wonder I'm here at all. My pussy got soaking wet. I had to dry it out in front of the fire," are proving too much for American audiences. It seems 'Are You Being Served' is part of an ongoing moral clampdown and feverish censorship which followed Janet Jackson's nipple falling out of her costume at the 2004 Superbowl, which was watched by millions.

Apparently some viewers of the 30-year-old sitcom have sued American networks, claiming they were upset.
