Two other cities quietly defying out-of state gay marriage law
By Associated Press

Two other cities are defying the state prohibition on issuing marriage licenses to out-of-state gay couples.

Attleboro City Clerk Susan Flood says city lawyers authorized her to issue licenses to couples from eleven states that do NOT have Defense of Marriage Acts.

Fall River City Clerk Carol Valcourt says she's been cleared to issue licenses to any gay couple, as long as they swear and affirm that there is no legal impediment to their marriage.

Neither clerk has heard from Attorney General tom Reilly, who ordered clerks in four other communities to cease and desist from issuing licenses to out-of-state gay couples.
