Why be just one sex?
For the transgendered to be fully themselves, they need freedom to move between male and female
GLORIA KIM
The first thing that strikes you about Sally is her eyes. Bright blue, they're the kind that inspire songs. The next thing you notice is how she moves. Sally is poised the way dancers are, the result of taking movement classes with a runway model. She inspires courtliness from those around her, including the waiter who helps her into her chair. By the time you notice her muscular build and she tells you she was born in a male body and lives about half the time as a man, it's too late. You already think of this 45-year-old as a woman.

And maybe some would like to break free of the binary's "between"--the linear resonance tennis match, the trans-it two-way street. Which I understand is not bad--this freedom to move between--it should be a right, and it is difficult enough in this world that wants the static, the assigned one or other with punishment patroling the border.
But, maybe some would like to swim swirling among their own selves, no supposed opposites, just ephemeral multitudes in motion.
Or maybe the between is like that. A multidimensional between. A way to be in the world and be freely oneself.
Can we make room? Each of us might have an ocean to offer. I don't know until I dive in and hope for water.
This is a comment in process. Hope I'm not imposing. Maybe comments are not part of this blog? But if they are, I wondered at not seeing any--at least recent ones. So I let my process seep in. Hope it's ok.
Peace (and love to my brave transdada friend)
always welcome.. and yes when can we make room for everyone...
