Gay Marriage Issue Will be Decided This Tuesday in Missouri

Butler County, MO--The eyes of the nation will be on Missouri early this week for the state’s primary elections.  Missouri could make history this week if an item on the ballot, Amendment 2, passes.  If passed, amendment two would make “gay marriage” illegal in the state of Missouri . The amendment would be the first of its kind in the U-S.

Over the weekend residents in favor of the amendment gathered in Butler County to prepare signs and focus on the elections.  Many local churches and politicians helped out.

Most people helping out said they were happy a hot button topic like “Gay Marriage” could be decided by the people instead of a single judge.  Cases in other states including California and Massachusetts have mostly been decided in court.
