Town Hall Calls Community to Action Against FMA

On Tuesday, April 27, 2004 a Town Hall panel discussion on the impact of the Federal Marriage Amendment (FMA) on the lives of GLBT Americans, their families and friends was discussed at Houston’s Stages Repertory Theater.
FMA is a proposed amendment to the federal constitution that would ban marriage between same sex partners.
The discussion, which was free and open to the public, included such state and local notables as Mitchell Katine with Lambda Legal Defense, Randall Ellis, Director of the Lesbian/Gay Rights Lobby of Texas; Chris Barron, National Political Director of the Log Cabin Republicans; Seth Kilbourne, Field Director, (Southern Region) for the Human Rights Campaign; and Mark Wood, President, Stonewall Democrats of Houston. The event was moderated by Ernie Manouse of Channel 8 (Houston PBS).
