Public opinion on several gay issues erodes after high-profile cases

WASHINGTON- Public support for gays has eroded over the last year on several fronts as legal cases around the country focused more attention on gay marriage.

Public opinion analysts suggest such high-profile cases raise awareness about issues like gay marriage and tend to raise anxiety among those who don't have strong opinions on the topic or who are undecided. That unease is showing up in the polls.
